Beyond Borders
A world-fest celebration, where people talk about different cultures, share experiences and most importantly, bring parts of their culture with them to Pinnacle
With a vision of introducing and educating the school about different cultures, Juniors Sahana Karthikeyan and Titiksha Kothakapu first introduced Beyond Borders to Pinnacle in October 2020. The club explores world cultures through food and discussions. At club meetings, members bring in dishes from various regions for other members to taste. Approximately 30 members attend each meeting on a regular basis, striving to bring Pinnacle the world to Pinnacle
“[It’s a ] world-fest celebration, where people talk about different cultures, share experiences and most importantly, bring parts of their culture with them to Pinnacle”, said Kothakapu. They plan on bringing their world fest to Pinnacle before 2023.
‘We have big plans for our club before both Titiksha and I graduate, ” said Karthikeyan, club co-president.
The club welcomes all students to a relaxed atmosphere at the meetings, an inviting place to learn about different cultures.
“[It’s] fun, informative, exciting, and aesthetically pleasing,” said co-president Kothakapu.
With plans to stay consistent with presentations on different countries and bringing in corresponding foods for the members at meetings, the student leaders hope even more people take an interest in their club and join in next year.
